Pretty simple post today but I enjoy the chrome of older cars. It seems like they took more time to design a vehicle that actually looked good.
This Lincoln is a good example. Check out the crest.
When you crashed you were in a huge piece of steel. This bumper has a hood ornament that would stab through someone's face in modern crash. All we have today is plastic bumpers that cost hundred of dollars to fix and break instantly.

Sunbeam alpine
This is a Sunbeam Alpine. These are cool little roadsters that apparently have mechanical gremlins. Somebody removed the front headlights. I wonder what they are doing with them. Anybody know what version of the car this is?
Stay tuned for more roadsters this week!

Ford Capri
I am pretty sure this is a Ford Carpi. I took this picture because of the weird hood. Any Ford guys know if this is an after market hood for a Capri or some weird option?
Cheers....

Borgward Isabella Combi
Borgward imported these weird little cars for a short period of time. They are relatively unknown in the USA. As far as I know they have a convertible, 2 door coupe and this four door version called the Combi. They also changed the name after a few years and it was known as a Hansa 1500. It was also unique in the fact that it had a boxster motor.
This could be a rumor but according to some sources Subaru actually used this engine as an early prototype for all the boxster motors you see in the Wrx, Impreza, Forester, etc. This car could be restorable, I like the coupe I found better. It is also full of chairs.
They had two of these cars, so you could technically make one good one out of the batch.

Saab 95
It's sad that Saab went out of business. They produced some weird interesting cars before being bought out by GM. It is a well known fact that GM helped destroy Saab. I found this Saab 95 in a the junkyard and it looked like somebody completely restored the body. It had very little rust. It did not have an engine but it would be a great fixer upper...if you like weird old Saabs

Old car invention - color and levers
I have no idea what type of car this is but I enjoy the climate controls. They are levers that go up and down. One side says summer and the other side I am pretty sure is labeled dairy. They are weird but I like how people designing cars in this day and age took chances. Now all we have is beige.
The pink is also a nice addition. If anybody knows what kind of car this is please comment.

Early Honda cars - Z600 and N600
I do not think very many people know that these little Honda cars exist. They were sold at Honda motorcycle dealers. They were the first Honda's imported into the USA. They were powered by a small 2 cylinder engine that had between 31 and 36 horsepower. I was really interested in buying an N600 from a local dealer but he would not part with it. I bet it became scrap.
The Z600 was the more sporty of the two cars. It was a two door coupe while the N600 was the sedan variant. They both had the same engine and were relatively similar besides the body style. They are pretty collectable today.
I found this pair at a junkyard. They were both in very bad shape but probably have parts that people want badly.
First is the Z600.
I like the side profile of these cars, They look pretty sporty. Check out the weird flip open window in the back. This cars interior was completely gutted.
These cars also really liked rust. Check out the roof of this beast
Here is picture of the little two cylinder engine. Lots o' Power!!!
Check out this futuristic light console. It in good shape.
Here is the N600 sedan variant.I only took the front shot. I will get a side shot next time I am out and about.
Here is a picture of the interior.
You might be able to save one of these cars but it would be highly unlikely.
The Honda Civic replaced these cars in the United States.
